18.-22.11. Visit of Kenny Ryan (PhD candidate, UC Riverside, USA)

We welcome Kenny Ryan (PhD candidate, UC Riverside, Ca, USA) who will visit us from 18th to 22nd November. He will work together with Dr. Christian Pelties on dynamic rupture processes on complicated fault systems (like intersecting or even crossing faults) using SeisSol. On Tuesday 19th, he will present latest research results in the lunch time seminar at 12:30pm. The title of his talk is 'Modeling Dynamic Rupture with Implications for an Alaskan-Aleutian Megathrust Earthquake and Resulting Tsunami'.
