At the 13th biennial conference of the South African Geophysical Association Lorenzo Colli presented a talk on the temporal changes in South Atlantic spreading rates and how they are linked to the history of uplift and subsidence of the surrounding continents via upper-mantle pressure-driven flow.

For his presentation "Rapid South Atlantic Spreading Changes and Coeval Vertical Motions in the Surrounding Continents from a Geodynamic Perspective" he received the Best SAGA Student Paper Award. Congratulations, Lorenzo! Well Done!
