Spack for Geophysics?

In this session we plan to discuss and evaluate the use of Spack (A Flexible Package Manager for HPC Software) for Geophysics. What are pros and cons, what should our software stack include, for the general machines and for the cluster? How is LRZ handling its Spack install? And so on.
