Multilevel Techniques for the Solution of the Inverse Problem of Electrocardiography

Abstract

We will give a short introduction into the inverse ECG problem. By means of a simplified model we will explain the ill-posedness of the problem and the fundamental difficulties arising in its numerical treatment. Afterwards we will present some thoughts on the application of multilevel methods for its efficient solution.
