Earth Models shown at ARS ELECTRONICA, Linz

On April 26th 2018, the Visualisation Group of the LRZ (under direction of Prof Kranzlmueller, and with PhD Student Markus Wiedemann) and Hans-Peter Bunge showed computer simulations of mantle flow from global dynamic earth models at the ARS ELECTRONICA Center (AEC) in Linz, Austria. This public event, attended by over 100 persons, used the stunning display capabilities of the AEC - with two screens each 11 X 16 meters wide - to present a Journey into the Center of the Earth.
