Brian Kennett appointed as an Officer of the Order of Australia

Professor Brian Kennett (http://rses.anu.edu.au/~brian) of the Research School of Earth Sciences of the Australian National University -- recipient of the Humboldt research award, FRS, FAA, and many other honours -- was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Australia in the Australia Day Honours 2019 with the citation:
For distinguished service to the earth sciences as a leading academic and researcher, particularly in the field of seismology.
