Abstract
The Algebraic Multigrid method for a discretisation based on cell-centered finite difference is applied to solve the forward problem in EEG source analysis. We found that, depending on the computer platform, the method performs 1.8-5.6 times faster than the successive over relaxation (SOR) method often employed in this context.
