Christian Pelties wins "Outstanding Student Paper Award" at the AGU Meeting 2011
At the 2011 Fall Meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Christian Pleties presented a poster on Three-Dimensional Dynamic Rupture Simulation with a High-order Discontinuous Galerkin Method on Unstructured Tetrahedral Meshes. For his presentation he received an Outstanding Student Paper Award. Mr Pelties is a member of the Computational Seismology Group at Munich Geophysics. [more]

TETHYS: End-of-Lifetime
After six years of operation the Tectonic High-Performance Simulator (TETHYS), Munich Geophysics' HPC cluster, has reached the end of its lifetime and will be decommissioned. The final shutdown is planned for Monday 2 April 2012. [more]
