Toni was a PhD student in the Seismology group until May 2006. He studed earthquake swarms near Bad Reichenhall, SE-Germany.

Between 2001 and 2003 he was responsible for the installation of the new Bavarian Seismological Network and near-realtime publication of seismograms via the internet.

Toni Kraft has left the institute in June, 2006 and is now working for the GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam (GFZ) as Project Manager of the seismological part of the German Indean Ocean Tsunami Early Warning System (GITWS) .
